Howdy! I'm Kean Towle (he/him/his), known online as Percivalias.

I'm an artist and writer currently based in Los Angeles, California. I started attending Otis College of Art and Design in 2020 and am projected to graduate in 2024 with a BFA in Illustration and a minor in Creative Writing. I make a whole lot of work, including but not limited to illustration, comics, video games, music, literature, and poetry.

I am primarily interested in using traditionally escapist genres and media (science fiction, fantasy, comics, video games, et cetera) to explore grounded ideas in a literary way. Much of my work examines the formation of identity, the tension between an individual and society, and humanity's relationship to the natural world. I also have long-standing interests in several of the natural sciences, including evolutionary biology, geophysics, astrophysics, and genetics, that tend to sneak into my work when I least expect it. I am fascinated by speculative fiction and many of my stories can be classified as such.

Other common motifs include bicycles, cats, cowboys, and miscellaneous transgender tomfoolery.
