Black Mountain is a short visual novel exploring my relationship to art and functions as a sort of esoteric artist's statement. The novel takes the player up the Bella Vista Trail to the summit of Black Mountain in Monte Bello Open Space Preserve, a park in Palo Alto, California, punctuated by limited interactive elements and my own introspection.
The game was entirely written and developed by me in Ren'Py 8.0.2. Most of the assets and featured photography are my own, with key additions from Dr. Anna George and the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District.

Waiting for Damien is a visual novel developed in 11 hours for the UCSB Game Development Club's 2021 Winter Game Jam. Along with Blake Randle (programming) and Calliope Hu (writing), I created all visual elements, including character designs, sprites, background artwork, UI elements, title and end screens, and the cover image.
The game follows Rose Lovelock and Zephyr Walker, two getaway drivers for a bank heist, as they talk through their plan and/or personal lives at the player's discretion.
